AllPoints Fibre Networks
British wholesale full-fibre network operator
AllPoints Fibre Networks (APFN) is a British wholesale full-fibre (FTTP) network operator owned by Fern Trading, an investment company managed by Octopus Investments. It was formed in 2023 by combining four regional fibre providers, AllPoints Fibre, Jurassic Fibre, Swish Fibre and Giganet, and sells access to its own network and to other operators' networks to internet service providers through a platform called aquila.
History
Fern Trading launched Jurassic Fibre and Swish Fibre in 2018, Giganet in 2020 and AllPoints Fibre in 2021. In 2023 Fern announced that the four would be consolidated into a single operator led by Giganet's chief executive, Jarlath Finnegan, with AllPoints Fibre as the national wholesale network and Cuckoo as the retail brand that would take over the customers of the three regional ISPs; the consolidation took until 2025 to complete. APFN acquired the Glasgow-based provider Brillband in October 2024 and ran it as a standalone brand. In 2026, as it moved to a wholesale-only business, it sold Cuckoo's retail customers to Onestream and, on 7 August 2026, Brillband's to Olilo.
Services
The aquila platform gives retail providers a single interface and API for ordering connections over Openreach, BT Wholesale, CityFibre and APFN's own network, with Ethernet services from Sky Business Wholesale; the company says this reaches more than 32 million ready-for-service premises. Its own network, built by the former Jurassic Fibre, Swish Fibre and Giganet, covers about 300,000 premises in parts of southern and south-west England.
