What Verified Handles is
Verified Handles is a free, public directory of the official social-media handles and online identifiers of notable people and organisations. It gives journalists, researchers and anyone else one place to look up the accounts a person or organisation really runs, so they can follow, cite or contact the real one rather than an impersonator. Most entries are listed from public sources such as Wikidata and kept current as those sources change; an entry with the Verified badge has been checked by the Verified Handles team. Verified Handles is a non-profit service, run and funded by JEM Media (JEM MEDIA LTD).
Key figures
- 155,486 entries listed
- 712,582 handles
- 76 platforms
Counted live from the directory; this page can be up to a day old.

Founded in 2020, it is a non-profit service run and funded by JEM Media (JEM MEDIA LTD). Its data is open: public domain under CC0, except text taken from Wikipedia. verifiedhandles.org
