Grok Bot
always-on AI agents ("AI teammates") from SpaceXAI
Grok Bot is an AI agent service from SpaceXAI, the artificial intelligence division of SpaceX that makes the Grok chatbot. It gives people and businesses "AI teammates": persistent, always-on agents that each work on their own cloud computer with a web browser, terminal and file system. That lets them carry out multi-step tasks in real apps and websites, and keep working after the user's laptop or phone is closed. Grok Bot was built jointly with Cursor, the AI coding company SpaceX acquired in August 2026, and launched in beta on 11 August 2026.
Grok Bot is a separate product from the Grok chatbot. On X, Grok Bot posts as @bot, and the chatbot as @grok.
Features
A Bot is set up by messaging it like a coworker: you give it a name, a job and access to the tools it needs. Bots sign in to the apps and websites a person already uses, including vendor portals, ad managers, CRMs, inboxes and older tools with no API. They use connectors where they exist and computer use where they do not. They pause for approval before consequential steps, such as sending an email, and hand back steps they cannot complete themselves, such as a password, two-factor code or CAPTCHA. A process shown to a Bot once can be saved as a skill and run on a schedule as a routine. Each Bot keeps its own memory and conversation history. Several Bots can work in parallel, message each other and share group chats, with a "chief of staff" Bot coordinating specialist Bots.
On X, tagging @bot in a post or reply hands the task to the user's main Bot, and @bot posts a short public confirmation. SpaceXAI's examples of Grok Bot's work include sales outreach, CRM upkeep, inbox triage, invoice processing, recruiting, online store support and reproducing and filing software bugs.
Availability
Grok Bot runs on macOS, Windows and Linux, and through apps for iPhone, iPad and Android, with the same conversation available on every device. At launch it was offered to selected Grok and Cursor subscribers. Since 26 August 2026 it has been included with SuperGrok, SuperGrok Plus and SuperGrok Heavy subscriptions and with Cursor Pro, Pro+, Ultra and Teams plans. Its usage allowance resets weekly and is separate from Grok and Cursor usage. Larger organisations can join an enterprise waitlist.
