Kevin Folta

Kevin Folta is a horticulturist, agricultural scientist and podcaster whose research is in molecular biology. Born in Chicago, he was educated at Northern Illinois University and the University of Illinois Chicago, worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Wisconsin–Madison until 2002, and has been a professor at the University of Florida since 2014. He received the Borlaug CAST Communication Award in 2016 and was named a Fellow of the Committee for Skeptical Inquiry in 2018. His X account, kevinfolta, had 27,895 followers in December 2022.
