Anton Petrov (born 11 March 1984) is a Canadian YouTuber, science communicator, astrobiologist and teacher, born in the United States. He studied at McGill University, finishing in 2006, and at the University of Toronto, finishing in 2014, and has worked as an astrobiologist at McGill University. On his YouTube channel, 
whatdamath, he explains science, mathematics and other complicated topics using simulations and video games; it had about 1.54 million subscribers in December 2025.
