The company describes the app as a single place, with one login, where students can discover societies, see campus events in one calendar, save events, receive announcements and join group chats. Sign-in is verified through the university. For society committees it offers a dashboard to manage events, track attendance and send announcements, and for university administrators it offers society management, engagement data and custom branding. The company says the aim is to replace the mix of WhatsApp, Instagram, email, Facebook, Discord and student portals that societies currently use.

History

According to the company's own website, it was started by three students who met on a computer science course at university and wanted to fix the problem of keeping track of several societies across many platforms. Its LinkedIn page says the platform is starting at the University of York and is designed to scale to other universities worldwide; it lists the company as privately held with 2 to 10 employees.
