According to its website, RosettaPath offers peer review of efficacy and safety studies on glass slides or whole-slide images; primary microscopic examination, interpretation and reporting of study slides; expert input to responses to regulators' questions about pathology findings and to technical due diligence on nonclinical data; a project pathologist role that follows a programme from discovery into development; strategic advice on investigating and mitigating potential safety liabilities; and expert input to the development, validation and use of AI algorithms in pathology workflows.
Founder
The consultancy was founded by a veterinary pathologist and toxicologist. According to the company, its founder is board certified in veterinary pathology (FRCPath, DipECVP) and toxicology (Diplomate of the American Board of Toxicology), qualified in veterinary medicine at the University of Cambridge and completed a DPhil in experimental pathology and immunology at Oxford. He was head of the UK pathology department at GSK from 2014 to 2022 and later led the global pathology team within Clinical Pharmacology and Safety Sciences at AstraZeneca. He is a member of the Committee on Carcinogenicity of Chemicals in Food, Consumer Products and the Environment, which advises the UK government on whether substances are likely to cause cancer.
