Mark D. Scherz

Mark D. Scherz is a herpetologist and evolutionary biologist specialising in reptiles and amphibians of Madagascar. He is currently the curator of Herpetology at the Natural History Museum of Denmark and the associate professor of vertebrate zoology at the University of Copenhagen. Through the use of museomics, micro-Computed Tomography (micro-CT), genetic sequencing and other techniques alongside field research, Scherz and his colleagues have described numerous reptile and amphibian species of Madagascar.
