Alejandra Barrales

María Alejandra Barrales Magdaleno is a Mexican lawyer and politician and the former president of the Party of the Democratic Revolution. She formerly represented the Federal District in the Senate and also served as a federal deputy and in the Legislative Assembly of the Federal District. In 2019, after a period of relative political inactivity, Barrales announced her resignation from the Party of the Democratic Revolution (PRD) alongside Senator Juan Zepeda of the State of Mexico. On February 19, 2024, it was officially announced that she would be a candidate for her former seat in the Senate of the Republic, representing the Citizens' Movement (Mexico) party.
