Ari Shavit

Ari Shavit is an Israeli reporter and writer. Shavit was a senior correspondent at the left-of-center Israeli newspaper Haaretz before he resigned when a pattern of sexual misconduct came to public attention. Shavit has published five books in hebrew: Partion (2005); A New Israeli Republic (2021); Saving Israel (2023); An Existential War (2025) and Bennett: Hour of Truth (2026), and one book in English: New York Times Best Seller My Promised Land: The Triumph and Tragedy of Israel (2013), which was awarded the Anisfield-Wolf Book Award on 2014. a leading columnist, and a prominent television comentator. Shavit challenges the dogmas of both Right and Left with unique insights into the role of Israel in the 21st century.
