History Claim
Jungle Fight is a Brazilian mixed martial arts promotion founded in 2003 by former fighter Wallid Ismail. Ismail partnered with Japanese martial artist and promoter Antonio Inoki to stage the inaugural event at the Ariaú Amazon Towers near Manaus, Amazonas. The promotion has operated as a developmental circuit for Brazilian fighters. Some fighters who passed through Jungle Fight include Erick Silva, Fabrício Werdum, José Aldo, Lyoto Machida, Antônio Rogério Nogueira, Johnny Walker, Alex Pereira and Ronaldo Souza.
