Michael James Wuertz is an American former professional baseball pitcher who currently serves as the interim bullpen coach for the Los Angeles Angels of Major League Baseball (MLB). He played in MLB for the Chicago Cubs and Oakland Athletics from 2004 to 2011. He was known for his slider, which generated the most misses per swing in 2009.
