Ana Marie Cox

Ana Marie Cox (born 23 September 1972 in San Juan) is an American journalist, columnist and podcaster based in Austin, Texas. She founded the political blog Wonkette in 2004, was a columnist for The Guardian from 2011 to 2014 and for The Daily Beast from 2014 to 2015, and conducted the "Talk" interviews for The New York Times Magazine from 2015 to 2017. From 2017 to 2022 she hosted the podcast With Friends Like These on Crooked Media, and she is a contributing editor at The New Republic and co-hosts the podcasts Past Due with Open Mike Eagle and Space the Nation with Dan Drezner. Her X account had about 1.1 million followers in February 2023.
