SoundCraft

SoundCraft is a free, open-source digital audio workstation modelled on Pro Tools from Avid Technology, made by ArtCraft. Written in Rust, it runs natively on macOS, Windows, Linux and FreeBSD and in a browser. It is not connected with Soundcraft, the maker of audio mixing consoles.

Features

SoundCraft offers multitrack editing, a mixer with plugins, sends and automation, MIDI, recording and bouncing, and every action can be scripted from the command line or run by an AI agent.

History and availability

SoundCraft was first released on 8 October 2026, within a week of the first Crafting Apps. It is released under the MIT or Apache-2.0 licence; builds are on its page at getartcraft.com, in the storytold/soundcraft releases on GitHub and through the ArtCraft Launcher.
