Apsana Begum

Apsana Begum is a British politician who has been Member of Parliament (MP) for Poplar and Limehouse in east London since 2019. Elected as a member of the Labour Party, Begum had the party whip withdrawn on 23 July 2024 after she voted for an amendment to scrap the two-child benefit cap. Begum regained the party whip in September 2025.
