Lex Fridman

American computer scientist and podcaster

Lex Fridman (born 15 August 1983 in Buston) is an American computer scientist, artificial intelligence researcher and podcaster. He received a PhD from Drexel University in 2014 and worked at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology until 2019, with research in computer vision and human-AI interaction, including studies of driver behaviour and AI-assisted driving. He hosts the Lex Fridman Podcast, whose topics include history, philosophy, physics, AI, robotics and geopolitics. His YouTube channel had about 4.67 million subscribers in March 2025.
