Alison McGovern is a British Labour politician who has served as Member of Parliament (MP) for Birkenhead since 2024, and previously Wirral South since 2010. She has served as Minister of State for Social Care since July 2026. She previously served as Minister of State for Employment from 2024 to 2025 and as Minister of State for Local Government and Homelessness from 2025 to 2026.
