Najat Vallaud-Belkacem

Najat Vallaud-Belkacem is a Moroccan-born French former politician and jurist. A member of the Socialist Party (PS), serving in a number of ministerial positions during the presidency of François Hollande. She was the first woman to serve as Minister of Education, Higher Education, and Research, holding the position from 2014 to 2017 under Prime Ministers Manuel Valls and Bernard Cazeneuve.
