Sheema Kalbasi

Sheema Kalbasi is an Iranian, Danish, and American poet who addresses issues of feminism, war, refugees, human rights, and freedom of expression. She is also a filmmaker focusing on women's issues and activism for women's rights, minority rights, children's rights, and refugees' rights. Kalbasi grew up in the Middle East, South Asia, and Europe, and now makes her home in the United States.
