She has been a member of the Liberal Party and has served in the Australian Capital Territory Legislative Assembly since 2016, representing the electorate of Kurrajong. Before entering the ACT Legislative Assembly, Lee worked as a lawyer, before becoming a lecturer at the Australian National University and University of Canberra.
