Seán Barrett was an Irish Fine Gael politician who served as Ceann Comhairle of Dáil Éireann from 2011 to 2016, Minister for Defence and Minister for the Marine from 1995 to 1997, and a Minister of State from 1982 to 1987 and 1994 to 1995. He served as a Teachta Dála (TD) for Dún Laoghaire from 1981 to 2002 and 2007 to 2020.
