Katharine Abraham
American feminist economist
Katharine G. Abraham (born August 28, 1954) is an American economist who is a Distinguished University Professor of economics and survey methodology at the University of Maryland. She was commissioner of the Bureau of Labor Statistics from 1993 to 2001 and a member of the Council of Economic Advisers from 2011 to 2013. She was elected a member of the National Academy of Sciences in 2022 and, in 2024, was elected to be the President of the American Economic Association.
