Laura Waller

Laura Ann Waller is a Canadian-American computer scientist who holds the Charles A. Desoer Chair in Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley, where she directs the Computational Imaging Lab. Her research focuses on computational imaging, developing techniques that integrate optical hardware design with computational processing to advance microscopy and phase imaging. She is a Fellow of Optica and the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering, and a senior fellow of the Berkeley Institute for Data Science.
