Igor Levit

Igor Levit is a Russian-German pianist who focuses on the works of Bach, Beethoven, and Liszt, and has also recorded modern pieces, including Dmitri Shostakovich's 24 Preludes and Fugues, Ronald Stevenson's Passacaglia on DSCH, Frederic Rzewski's The People United Will Never Be Defeated!, and Morton Feldman's Palais de Mari. He is also a professor at the Musikhochschule Hannover. He lives in Berlin.
