Gamal Abdel-Hamid is an Egyptian football manager and former footballer who played as a forward. He played for Zamalek and the Egypt national football team. He is one of the all-time top scorers of the Egyptian Premier League. He is regarded as one of the best forwards in the history of African football. Abdel-Hamid was a part of the team that won the 1986 African Cup of Nations. He captained Egypt at the 1990 World Cup.
