Carolyn Maloney

Carolyn Jane Maloney is an American politician who served as the U.S. representative for New York's 12th congressional district from 1993 to 2023. The district included most of Manhattan's East Side, Astoria and Long Island City in Queens, Greenpoint, Brooklyn, as well as Roosevelt Island. A member of the Democratic Party, Maloney ran for reelection in 2022 but lost the primary to 10th district incumbent Jerry Nadler after redistricting drew them both into the 12th district.
