Safeco Insurance was an American insurance company based in Seattle. A subsidiary of Liberty Mutual, Safeco provided auto insurance, homeowners insurance, and liability insurance. The company name was an acronym for Selective Auto and Fire Ensurance Company of America, or SAFECO.
