Sidney Florens Johannes Smeets is a Dutch lawyer, writer and former politician. Following the 2021 Dutch general election, Smeets was inaugurated as a member of the Dutch House of Representatives on 31 March 2021 for Democrats 66 (D66). On 15 April 2021 Smeets resigned following allegations of sexually inappropriate behaviour towards minors.
