He wrote Daredevil from 1979 to 1983, and again in 1986, with the Daredevil: Born Again arc. For Daredevil, he created the femme fatale Elektra and the ninja villains the Hand. Subsequently, he wrote influential Batman stories: The Dark Knight Returns (1986) and Batman: Year One (1987). He also wrote creator-owned series outside the major superhero franchises: Ronin (1983-1984), Sin City (1991-1992), and 300 (1998). |
