| Description | — | Dinesh Gundu Rao is an Indian politician who served as the minister of health and family welfare from May 2023 to June 2026 in the Government of Karnataka. He previously held the food and civil supplies and consumer affairs portfolios between 2015 and 2016. A member of the Indian National Congress, he served as president of its Karnataka unit, the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee, between 2018 and 2020. Rao has represented Gandhi Nagar in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly since 1999. He is the son of former Chief Minister of Karnataka R. Gundu Rao. |
